Randa Yassir is a Senior Technical Advisor and International Consultant with over 20 years of experience driving institutional change at the intersection of Governance, Gender, Peacebuilding, and Economic Empowerment across conflict-affected and post-conflict zones, including Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Sudan and Lebanon. She currently serves as a Senior Consultant for the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN) and an M&E Specialist managing large-scale verification for World Bank and EU-funded programs, and is a PhD Candidate in International Relations and Geopolitics. Her expertise spans Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with over a decade at ICAN and six years as M&E Manager for the World Bank RACE2 program; Women, Peace and Security, designing gender-responsive strategies, proposals and frameworks and advising women-led NGOs across more than a dozen countries; and economic empowerment, having mentored 17 startups and trained over 100 women entrepreneurs, with a focus in 2026 on youth employability. As former Advisor to the Lebanese Minister of State for Women's Affairs (UNDP), she led national communication strategies and resource mobilisation with donors including the UN, EU, GIZ and the World Bank. She has also developed regional curricula for UNESCO and UN Women on gender-sensitive reporting, and is driven by the belief that sustainable peace is only possible when women and youth are equipped to lead.
